Description

The Polish Khanate of Jaxa, or as it's referred to as "Jaxa" or "the Khanate"'s history begins in 1665, when a Pole by the name Nikifor Chernigovsky is exiled by the Russian goverment due to him murdering a man who raped his wife. He brought with him 84 cossacs, and settled in Albazin. He clamied a small area conisting of 500 people as his own kingdom, and defended it, which the Russians nor the Chinese took kindly to.

In 1670, he defended himself from a Chinese expedition, and two years later the Tsar issues a death sentence. He spread word to the Poles of Siberia (which were around 5,000) to help him defend his kingdom, and to migrate to the captial of Jaxa. The Russians who were outraged, sent a force of their own, and outside of the captial Nikifor and his "Polish Army of the East" drove the Russians out. And with the support of recognition from French and Dutch diplomats led the Russians to the conclusion of a truce. From there, the army grew and raids along the Russian and Chinese borders took place, and in 50 years the monarchy was seen more as a group of warlords, but with help from the European diplomats they were introduced to Western tech.

By the end of The Great War the Khanate's population saw a great influx as many Poles and Slavs excaped prison and entered the Khanate's borders. At the time of the Russian Civil War the Bolshiviks were very angered at the Khanate, as they harboured White millatary commanders, most notably Roman von Ungern-Sternberg who became their Minister of War. Who, in 1931 managed to get the Khanate's goverment to join the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. He led a force of 10,000 men who took lands from Northern Manchuria.

By 1945, with the threatning Soviet Union at it's borders, and several incidents of spies brining Poles into the Khanate, the latter allied themselves with the Allies, which let them be a founding member of the UN. This made border tentions between the Russians and the Khanate tense, and an American built nuclear base was established in Jaxa.  In 1990's, when the Ukranian navy landed in Vladavostok and the Ukranian army advanced through Eastern Russia, more tentions appeared bewteen the Khanate and the Russians. It was leaked that the Khanate supplied the Ukranians with guns and food, and raids led by the former popped up. A Russian army was sent to the border, and an agreement was signed saying how "each nation shall not have any plans of agressive expation into each other's territory".

Thank you to :iconviorp: for designing the flag and giving me an outline for the TL. Check out his stuff, it's pretty cool. Oh, and the things with Green Ukraine? Check out :iconsoaringaven:'s Green Ukraine map! (Note I made Green Ukraine smaller)

Cool idea. I wonder if the Poles could get some support from the Manchus in a "set the barbarians to fight the barbarians" sort of thinking? Jaxa is closer, but Russia is larger and more dangerous in the long run.
